i'm afraid there's a lot of that going around. starting with parking at the hotel, about 10 parking spaces, unfortunately all of them permanently occupied. rooms don't make a good impression anymore, they look a bit old but you can live with that. strange, nice desk but unfortunately without the possibility to power a laptop. in general, there are sockets in the suite that i had in short supply. i found 2 sockets. in the bathroom only one dummy socket, holes to plug in a razor or electric toothbrush were closed. then the elevators, almost always went past our floor completely uncoordinated. tip from another guest, if you want to go downstairs, always go up first. so we got after a felt eternity also a "ride" down. breakfast, in a big hall, completely overloaded, only typical asian cuisine. Not so bad, after all, you are in China, but I would have expected something European in a Holiday Inn. Check-out, actually just good, the lady was a little surprised that I wanted an invoice and not only the credit card receipt, which I had to ask for, was enough.

We like it at general

During my Easter stay, I found the hotel to be in an excellent location, within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. the room was spacious and had a large shower, which was a nice touch. The staff was friendly and helpful in guiding me towards the best local spots.

I did find that the language barrier was an issue at times. Not all staff members spoke English, which made communication difficult.

I prefer the breakfast to have more variety for tourists like me who stays a few days and eating the same food everyday.

We had a pleasant and convenient stay with a great location in the heart of the city area, close to shopping centers and night markets. the cozy room was well-maintained along with a nice bathroom and basic toiletries. the breakfast provided a mixture of Chinese and Western style, and the staff was helpful.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Spent New Year's Eve in a hotel near the busiest square. The rooms were clean and well-equipped, and the breakfast buffet was great. I liked the fact that it was located near a pedestrian street where you could find a wide variety of shops and markets. Moreover, it was only a short walk from the train station, making it easy to get there.

The hotel could benefit from some upgrades, especially in terms of furniture and carpeting. It was a little worn out, and it didn't have Wi-Fi in the rooms, which was a bit of a bummer. Nonetheless, the staff was nice, and the shower was top-notch. it was a good choice for its key location, especially if you're a shopping lover like me.
